Two ears, two languages, one conversation.
Give one AirPod to the person you're speaking with and keep the other. Sayso works out which language is being spoken, translates it, and sends each translation to the ear that needs it. Nobody has to hold the phone or take turns tapping a microphone.

Start it once
Tap the bud you're handing over, press Start split mode, and talk normally. Language detection is automatic for the rest of the session.
Fix a mislabel
If a line gets attributed to the wrong person, the Wrong speaker? control reassigns it without stopping the conversation.
Survives a dropout
If the AirPods disconnect mid-conversation the session pauses instead of ending. Reconnect and carry on. Mono Audio has to be off for per-ear routing to work — Sayso links straight to that setting if it's on.

Can't speak up? Type instead, and use the YOU / THEM pills to choose whose turn you're typing. Every bubble replays on tap.
Camera
5 free captures / dayPoint the phone at a menu, a sign, or a label. Translations are drawn over the original text and stay aligned to it as you move. Torch for low light, a pause pill to freeze the frame.
Tap the shutter and the capture opens in a zoomable preview you can save to Photos or share. Reading translations on screen isn't metered — only captures are.
History
FreeTalk conversations save themselves. Each row shows the language pair, the message count, and when it happened — open one to read the transcript or continue this conversation right where it stopped.
Delete a single chat with an undo window, or clear everything at once. You can also turn saving off entirely.

Sayso offers the languages Apple's on-device translation supports, so the list grows with iOS. Download a language pack and translation works with no connection at all — English comes with every download.

There is no server to send anything to.
Sayso has no backend and no accounts. Conversations, settings and captures stay in the app's own storage on your iPhone, and deleting the app deletes all of it.
Translation runs on your device. Apple's on-device translation models handle every language you've downloaded — fully offline.
Camera frames never leave the phone. Text is detected in memory by Apple's Vision framework and discarded immediately. Only a capture you take is written anywhere, and it goes to your Photos library.
Speech can stay on the phone too. Speech recognition is Apple's, and by default iOS may send audio to Apple's servers to transcribe it. Turn on On-device mode in Settings and it never does.
