Terms of Use

01 Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Shabab Haider Siddique (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Sayso mobile application (“the app”).

By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

02 Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the Usage Rules in Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. Where those Usage Rules conflict with these Terms, the Usage Rules govern.

You may not: copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app; rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense it; remove any proprietary notices; or use it in any way that breaks the law.

03 Translation accuracy

You use translations at your own risk and are solely responsible for verifying anything important.

04 Subscriptions

The app offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (“Sayso PRO”) that unlock unlimited translations, Split mode, Live mode, and unlimited camera translation.

Plans and prices

Prices are in US dollars and may vary by country. The exact price for your region is always shown in the app before you confirm any purchase. Prices may change; any change applies only to future billing periods and will be disclosed to you in advance as required by Apple.

Introductory offers and free trials

We may offer an introductory price or a free trial on a plan. Where one is available it is shown in the app before you purchase, and it can be used only once per Apple ID. If you subscribe while a free trial is running, the unused portion of the trial is forfeited at the moment of purchase. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before a trial ends, the subscription begins and you will be charged the plan’s price shown above.

Billing and renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.

Managing and cancelling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies — we cannot issue refunds directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded.

Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app or use a new device, tap Restore on the subscription screen to recover an active subscription tied to your Apple ID.

05 Free features and limits

Features not covered by a subscription may be offered free of charge, subject to usage limits described in the app. We may change what is free, what is paid, and where those limits sit, at any time. We will not remove access you have already paid for during a paid period.

06 Your responsibilities

You agree to use the app lawfully, and not to: record or translate conversations where doing so is illegal without the consent of everyone involved; infringe anyone’s rights; attempt to disrupt or overload the app or its providers; or use the app to harass, defraud, or harm others.

Recording laws differ by country and by state. In some places all parties to a conversation must consent before it is recorded or transcribed. Complying with the law where you are is your responsibility, not ours.

07 Your content

Conversations, transcripts, and translations created in the app belong to you and are stored on your device. We do not claim ownership of them, and we have no access to them. You are responsible for backing up anything you want to keep — deleting the app deletes its data permanently, and we cannot recover it.

08 Our content

The app itself — including its software, design, interface, graphics, and name — is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.

09 Third-party services

The app uses services provided by Apple (speech recognition, translation, payments) and RevenueCat (subscription management). Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may change or end without notice.

10 Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will change the “Last updated” date, and material changes will be surfaced in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11 Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that translations will be accurate.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app — including any loss or harm caused by an inaccurate translation.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app or your breach of these Terms or of any law.

14 Apple

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory non-compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

15 Termination

These Terms apply until terminated. They end automatically if you stop using and delete the app. We may terminate your licence if you breach these Terms. Sections 3, 7, 8, and 11 through 17 survive termination.

16 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of California, United States, except that consumers may bring claims in their own country where local law gives them that right, and mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply.

17 General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app.
